Single lane on eastbound SR 520 between I-5 and Montlake Blvd. closed nightly July 22 – September 1 (excluding Sundays)

Description: Crews will use this closure for dump truck staging in coordination with the single lane closure on Boyer Avenue East for the Boyer Hillside regrade.

Traffic: A single right lane on eastbound SR 520 between I-5 and Montlake Boulevard will close for construction nightly beginning as early as 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday nights from July 22 to at least September 1. The eastbound SR 520 off-ramp will remain open during these lane closures unless otherwise noted.

These lane closures will not be in effect every night and sometimes will have different starting times (e.g. 8 p.m.., 10 p.m., 11 p.m., 11:30 p.m. or 11:59 p.m.). We will do our best to call out unique starting times for proper planning. The lane closure will always end at 6 a.m.

Boyer Avenue East reduced to a single lane between East Roanoke Street and Everett Avenue East July 20 – September 1 (excluding weekends)

Description: Crews will use this single lane closure to create space for dump trucks to remove nearly 20,000 cubic yards of soil from the Boyer Hillside. This work is part of the SR 520 Portage Bay Bridge and Roanoke Lid Project.

Traffic: Boyer Avenue East will be reduced to a single lane between East Roanoke Street and Everett Avenue East beginning at 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays beginning Monday, July 20, until at least September 1.

In addition, there will be parking restrictions on Boyer Avenue East to allow space for crews and traffic to get through. Flaggers will be on site to manage traffic flow. Travelers are advised to plan for delays or seek alternate routes if able.

Weekday parking restrictions near Fuhrman Ave. for staging site begin June 15

Date: June 15, 2026 to at least through summer 2026

Time: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays (Saturday and Sunday ok to park)

Description: Contractor crews for the SR 520 Portage Bay Bridge and Roanoke Lid Project are using the staging site just south of Fuhrman Avenue and west of Eastlake Avenue for equipment deliveries and storage.

Traffic: To help with delivery of equipment and materials, parking alongside Fuhrman Ave. just north of the staging lot is restricted on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning June 15 until further notice.

Please note: This area is heavily congested with multiple construction projects including the RapidRide J Line Project. Crews working for the Portage Bay Project are only using this lot as staging and are not closing streets on Eastlake Avenue or otherwise restricting access in this area beyond the staging lot and this section of parking.
