Description: Crews will use these nightly closures to work on shaft installation for the future expansion of the Roanoke Trail Crossing Bridge. This work is part of the SR 520 Portage Bay Bridge & Roanoke Lid Project.

Traffic: The westbound SR 520 off-ramp to northbound I-5 and East Roanoke Street will close for construction from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on select weeknights beginning Aug. 17 until Sept. 1.

The currently scheduled closures dates are the nights of:

  • Aug. 17 – 20
  • Aug. 24 – 27
  • Aug. 29 (Saturday)
  • Aug. 31 & Sept. 1

Please note these dates can change. We’ll update this page if a closure is canceled or rescheduled.

During these closures, all westbound SR 520 traffic that remains on SR 520 past the Montlake and Lake Washington Boulevard exits will detour to southbound I-5. Those who do not want to head southbound on I-5 must exit at Montlake or Lake Washington Boulevard.
