Description: Crews will use this closure to remove portions of the barrier on the existing eastbound off-ramp to Montlake to make space for the new temporary off-ramp eastbound traffic will switch on to later this year. Crews will also pave a new temporary ramp from I-5 to eastbound SR 520 that traffic will begin using in 2026.

Traffic: Eastbound SR 520 between I-5 in Seattle and Montlake Boulevard will close for construction beginning at 11 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25. All I-5 traffic wanting to access eastbound SR 520 to cross Lake Washington will need to do so from the Montlake neighborhood or use alternate routes to cross the lake.
