Description: Crews will use the closure to remove portions of the existing bridge barrier and place temporary barrier in its place to make space for a new temporary off-ramp to Montlake Blvd. that eastbound traffic will shift to in 2026. This work is part of the SR 520 Portage Bay Bridge and Roanoke Lid Project.

Traffic: Eastbound SR 520 between I-5 and Montlake Boulevard in Seattle will close for construction beginning at 11 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, until 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24. Drivers wanting to access eastbound SR 520 from I-5 will need to use alternate routes. Eastbound SR 520 remains open across Lake Washington, it is only the section between I-5 and Montlake Boulevard that will close. Westbound SR 520 and the SR 520 Trail remain open all weekend.
