Description: Beginning as early as Tuesday, February 18, Skanska crews will permanently close the existing Bagley Viewpoint. Skanska needs to close the Bagley Viewpoint to relocate utilities, build the new lid and stage construction equipment as part of the SR 520 Portage Bay Bridge & Roanoke Lid Project. During the closure, neighbors will see construction vehicles, heavy equipment and construction materials stored in the Bagley Viewpoint parking area. For safety reasons, visitor access to the area will be fully restricted. Crews will rebuild the Bagley Viewpoint on the new Roanoke Lid near Delmar Drive East, southeast of its current location. The new Bagley Viewpoint will open along with the Roanoke Lid in 2031. Skanska will preserve and reinstall the original stone memorial marker at the new viewpoint.
