Description: Crews working for the Portage Bay Bridge and Roanoke Lid Project will use the full closure to relocate King County Metro trolley lines in preparation of our upcoming Boyer hillside and East Roanoke Street utility work.

Traffic: 10th Avenue East between East Roanoke Street and East Miller Street will fully close from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on both Saturday, Sept. 27, and Sunday, Sept. 28. Signed detours will be in place and travelers should plan for significant delays and consider alternate routes if able. In addition, the eastern sidewalk on the 10th Avenue East overpass will close for three years to facilitate work for the future Roanoke lid. We encourage all travelers to be mindful of the detour routes and to respect the posted signs and speed limits while navigating around the closure. This work will affect Metro Route #49. For questions about transit impacts and reroutes, please contact King County Metro directly. Please also note there is a University of Washington Huskies football game at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27 and fans should plan for additional time to head to the game.
